The property is set back and surrounded by some dense old rhododendrons. Set against this backdrop is a Living Pool. As if it had always been there, the water burbles along over the large sandstone chute and falls very precisely into the rainfall zone. Large water lilies fill the deep zone. Underwater plants protrude from beneath the large leaves. Through a walkway of large sandstone blocks, one floats from the terrace through the reed area up to the edge of the pool. Although the water surface is higher than the terrace and the house, everything is one. You reach the 12 x 4 metre swimming area by stairs or a jump, and can climb out at the other end via an exit ladder.
