Conversion to a Living Pool with Integrated Whirlpool

As an experienced underwater diver, the client not only wanted a natural environment when he went diving but also in his backyard. Thus he decided to transform his conventional, chlorine-treated swimming pool of 10x5m into a natural pool with an 8x4m swimming area. The addition of a separating wall in the existing pool and a filter zone along the entire length of the pool made the transformation possible. The garden was also redesigned in a modern style by removing the old arborvitae hedges and replacing them with screens and gabions. The natural design of the project was accentuated by creating a gravel shoreline around the pool and adding stepping stones, and a wooden bridge connecting the natural pool to the integrated Jacuzzi on the other side.
