Family garden with Living Pool: sustainability meets modern design

This project in a family garden in the Netherlands perfectly reflects the family‘s desire for sustainability and freedom from chemicals. The 3.6 m x 8 m Living Pool is equipped with a counter-current system, roller blind, lighting and heat pump. The narrow access to the construction site was a challenge, which is why the pool and filter systems had to be lifted over the house by crane. The combination of Dutch clinker bricks and open- pore concrete slabs gives the garden a natural look. The raised pool area with decking conceals the filter system. The result is an aesthetically pleasing and ecologically sophisticated Living Pool that the family can enjoy every day and which fulfils their requirements in terms of design and sustainability.
