A natural pool as the center of a sustainable project

This project was realized for a family living in a rural environment in the heart of France. The house is constructed entirely from natural materials, like clay plastering for the interior walls and wooden shingles for the roof, thereby corresponding to the clients’ vision of sustainable building. The clients had originally only planned to have a natural pond without the option for bathing beside the patio, but the BIOTOP natural pool concept persuaded them to go a step further: A solution was found that realized the family’s ideas of curving banks, a small stream flowing into the pool, and a wooden bridge. The result is a pool that truly looks as though it had developed naturally.
