Architectural Reflecting Pool for Swimming

Architect and landscaper bother set the formal framework for this Natural Pool. Like a reflecting pool, the Natural Pool is situated in front of the building. The disciplined and structured design within the pool’s basic orthogonal shape makes the various functional areas stand out immediately. The plant filter, featuring sedge grass and yellow water irises, forms the border of the twelve-meter long swimming area. A wide wooden walkway winds a path through the reed bed to the second sun deck, finishing as several granite stepping stones. Together with the natural biological processes, the pool’s easy-to-operate equipment with three separate filter systems ensures crystal clear swimming water at all times. Plant filter and phosphorous filter work together in an active and continual system to fully circulate and filter the pool water every two days. The curved screen skimmers in the second filter system keep the surface of the water impeccably clean as needed. Rounding out the cleaning crew is the pool robot, which cleans the swimming area on a daily basis. In a nutshell, the owner says, “The experience of swimming in the pool inspires us anew every day in this calm and relaxing atmosphere.”
