Natural Pool with a Stream Winding through the Garden

A little-used garden area with a greenhouse and an old swimming pool was redesigned ten years ago to create a natural pool. Today the pool is the centerpiece of the garden and a meeting spot for young and old. The edge of the pool provides ample seating for enjoying the water scenery. One of these places extends over the pool as a dock. On the opposite side a stream winds its way through the entire garden and empties into the pool. No matter if it’s the rhododendron blossoms in the spring, the rich green of the vegetation in the summer, the cold, clear water and the warm tones of fall or the frozen pool in the winter, throughout the year the natural pool is both a meeting spot and a place for peace and quiet in the generously-sized garden.
