Public Natural Pool Lenggries

The outdoor pool in the community of Lenggries was getting old and the cost of renovating the pool was too high. Closure threatened. The solution was a natural pool: The concept for the renovation by the planning office Wasserwerkstatt envisioned furnishing the existing pool with regeneration zones, wooden docks and a diving board. A generously dimensioned plant filter was situated on the lawn. The number of guests rose clearly – the best proof for a successful project. The community of Lenggries was awarded the “Landkreis Environmental Prize 2003” for the environmentally-friendly and completely natural water treatment of the pool.
