From Koi Pond to Living Pool

Originally the water area measuring 5 x 10 m with its strict architectural design was a luxurious koi paradise. The idea to continue using the koi pond as a swimming pool was a project that was to be implemented as quickly as possible. Our regional BIOTOP partner came up with a conversion plan: the shell construction for the basin, the edge of the pool, the subterranean filter chamber and the wooden decking overtop were still intact and could be reused. In other words, only the “contents” of the pool needed to be thoroughly redesigned in order to meet the requirements for a Living Pool.
